The crowd nearly doubled during the band's performance, and it wasn't long before the area in front of the stage was full of people, which is cool to see during an opening band's set, when you typically find people hanging back a bit.
Their live performance demonstrated the band's years of experience - they quickly got the crowd going, and looked like they were having a great time doing it. Musically, I'd describe them as the bastard child of the Misfits and Stray Cats, but with less emphasis on the horror and retro theatrics and more focus on high octane, unapologetic punk rock.
The Koffin Kats set seemed extra long (I assume this was due to The Damned not being quite ready), but the band's energy level never dipped once. These guys are first-class performers, and definitely a great live experience. Highly recommended!
All I can say is... Thanks for the night, gentlemen! :)
